Police said the woman was heading west on H-1 in her Nissan Sentra when she lost control of the car, crossed four lanes, hit the guard rail at the median, and then careened back across the lanes where her car hit a GMC pickup truck driven by a 50-year-old 'Ewa Beach man. Then a Toyota sedan driven by a 57-year-old Wai'anae woman collided with the Nissan.

A passenger in the Nissan, an 'Ewa Beach woman, and the Wai'anae woman were taken to Queen's in critical condition, later upgraded to guarded, police said.

The woman driving the Nissan was taken to to Pali Momi Medical Center where she was treated then arrested, police said. They said alcohol and speed were factors in the accident
