Judd, Theocharidis win Bonham awards

University of Hawai'i softball player Kate Judd and men's volleyball player Costas Theocharidis today were named the 2003 Jack Bonham Award winners for their outstanding performances on and off the field.

The award is given annual to the top UH male and female senior athlete who exemplifies the ideals for which the late assistant athletic director Jack Bonham stood for in the areas of athletic excellence, academic achievement, public service, leadership and character.

Judd, a two-time Western Athletic Conference Player of the year, has a 3.13 grade-point average.

Theocharidis, a two-time national Player of the Year and men's volleyball's first four-time first-team All-American, compiled a 3.71 grade-point average while being a four-year UH scholar.
