State tourism talks move into the sunlight
We're delighted to hear that the committees spawned at Gov. Linda Lingle's tourism summit will open their meetings to the public.
The visitor industry affects virtually every segment of Hawai'i society. Marketing specialists and owners are obviously key players. But eventually, we have to have the input of many groups, including unions representing hotel workers, if we expect tourism policy to meet post-9/11 challenges and more.
