Five teen-agers were among 15 people arrested by Big Island police yesterday in raids on three residences in Waimea. Police seized undisclosed amounts of crystal methamphetamine, cocaine, marijuana, a rifle with ammunition and about $700 cash in the raid, said Kona Vice Lt. Robert P. Hickcox.

A boy, 15, and two girls, 15 and 17, have been released pending further investigation. Two 18-year-olds are facing charges as adults for promoting dangerous drugs and detrimental drugs.

Two Maui men, meanwhile, were charged yesterday with possessing more than 5 pounds of cocaine.

Basho Elliot and John Meston were named in a criminal complaint filed in U.S. District Court. They are accused of receiving 5.5 pounds of cocaine, with the intention of distributing the drug.

The FedEx package was intercepted by narcotic officers in Sun Valley, Calif., last Thursday, according to an affidavit filed by Honolulu Police Officer Russell Woodward. The package was sent to Hawai'i Monday and was delivered to a Kapunakea Street home in Lahaina, the affidavit said.
