Advertiser Staff
Tourists visiting Lana'i spent an average of $247 a day, while visitors to Moloka'i spent an average of $83, according to state data on Neighbor Island visitor expenditures released yesterday.
Visitors to Maui spent about $161 each, and daily spending for visitors on the Big Island was $141, according to the state Department of Business, Economic Development and Tourism. O'ahu visitors were not surveyed.
The Neighbor Island visitor surveys are limited and for Lana'i the samples are skewed toward hotel visitors, the department said.
