'ER' has Island ties

There's a couple of Hawai'i connections — well, maybe four — on the 200th episode of "ER" tonight.

The baby belonging to patient "Mia" on the segment is played by fraternal triplets Bernard, Mason and McKenzie (a girl) Makuaole of Southern California, whose grandparents, Bernard and Sandra Makuaole, live on Kaua'i.

And when that call to Carter comes in from "Africa," it's really O'ahu, in a sense: The Africa scenes in the "ER" season finale, airing May 15, were filmed in the Islands.
