HARDY HUTCHINSON III, a former newspaper reporter, radio personality and lobbyist for many organizations, died May 6 in Hilo. He was 74. Hutchinson is survived by wife, Ellie; sons, Hardy, John, Kihei, and Gustav Bechart; daughters, Kilani, Daphne Graham, and Peni Bechert-Wong; grandchildren and great-grandchildren.Visitation will be at 9 a.m. Thursday at Borthwick Mortuary; service will be at 10:30 a.m. and inurnment at 1 p.m. at Valley of the Temples.
