Woman killed in Fort Weaver head-on crash

Advertiser Staff

A 31-year-old 'Ewa Beach woman died Wednesday night at St. Francis Medical Center-West about an hour after she was involved in a head-on collision on Fort Weaver Road near 'A'awa Drive at West Loch Fairways.

The woman was a front-seat passenger in a 1992 Nissan in the 9 p.m. collision with a 1995 Neon that had crossed a grass median. Police said the 18-year-old driver of the Dodge was speeding when he lost control of the vehicle.

The woman died at 10:18 p.m. Three others in the Nissan — a man, 33, and two boys, ages 9 and 2 — as well as the driver of the Neon and a 16-year-old male passenger were taken to The Queen's Medical Center with injuries that did not appear to be serious, police said.
