UH's Porter on West first team

Hawai'i first baseman Stacey Porter was named to the Louisville Slugger/National Fastpitch Coaches Association's Division I West Region first team, announced yesterday.
Porter, the Western Athletic Conference player of the year, hit .458, best in the league this season.
Hawai'i sophomore Melissa Coogan (pitcher) and junior April Crowell (designated player) were named to the second team.
Outfielders Ianeta Lei of Brigham Young (Iolani) and Estee Okumura of Pacific (Punahou) also were on the second team.
