ITEMIZATIONS: Tim Engel, son of local couple Claire and Ray Engel, is an assistant director on "50 First Kisses," the Adam Sandler-Drew Barrymore movie now in production here. He's so immersed in production work, he's seen his parents only twice since arriving April 25 — once on Mother's Day, another instance "when he came home to do laundry," according to mom. ...

The Big Island's Pomai Brown, who plays a restaurateur in the aforementioned flick, has been in Honolulu for the shoot. His wife Toni recently had a baby and the couple proudly named the newborn Hollywood. ...

The band plays the oldies ("It's a Beautiful Morning," "Good Lovin,'" "Groovin'," "How Can I Be Sure?," "I've Been Lonely Too Long" — but not "My Hawai'i"). Might be a suitable future attraction for Islanders. ...

"A Fishbowl and Some Dimes," a project to be directed by Kayo Hatta, director and co-writer of the heralded "Picture Bride," will film in Hawai'i shortly. A call is out for acting talent — children ages 9 to 15, adults ages 30 to 70. The short film is adapted from Lois-Ann Yamanaka's "Wild Meat and the Bully Burgers" novel. For details, e-mail Eleanor Nakama-Mitsunaga at fishbowlfilm@yahoo.com. ...

Konishiki, the sumotori, has been on the Big Island with Japanese singer Eriko Imai and kick boxer Nobuaki Kakuda, to do the "NTV Sunday Konishiki Special" TV show. It's a Hawai'i Visitors and Convention Bureau and Japan Air Lines promotion. Waikoloa Beach Marriott g.m. Robin Graf greeted Konishiki with a mammoth tailor-made T-shirt. ...

Pat Riley, coach of the Miami Heat, dined recently at Sansei Seafood Restaurant & Sushi Bar at Kapalua. ...
