Advertiser Staff

City Bank, in another move to defend itself against a hostile takeover attempt by local rival Central Pacific, said yesterday that Central Pacific may have broken the law by soliciting support from too many City Bank investors.

Central Pacific officials last night called the claims erroneous. It said one of the 11 designees is itself and therefore the cap for solicited voters was not exceeded.
