Police are looking for a man who is accused of threatening to shoot two tourists and stealing their rental car while they were visiting a local attraction.
The two were visiting the Birthing Stones site at Kamehameha Highway and Whitmore Avenue May 21 when an unknown man threatened to shoot them and demanded that they give him their property and car keys.
The man forced the two to walk behind a large pile of dirt and then fled the scene in their rental car, police said.
The man is described as in his mid 20s, about 6 feet 2 and 240 pounds. He has a pock-marked or scarred face, police said. Police say he was wearing a bandanna, a dark dress shirt and dark slacks.
