Ready to Learn seeks school supplies at campaign kickoff

Ready To Learn, a nonprofit organization that collects school supplies for 27,000 needy children statewide, will kick off its 2003 campaign noon to 1 p.m. tomorrow at Tamarind Park, Bishop Square.
Organizers ask the public to donate folder paper, pens, pencils, crayons, color markers, notebooks, rulers, glue, folders and other basic school materials at the kickoff. The event will include entertainment by KRTR radio DJs Chris and Chris, and the tropical pop stylings of Coconut Joe.
Ready To Learn is a partnership between U.S. Sen. Dan Inouye, his wife Maggie, and Helping Hands Hawai'i. Call 841-4593.
