Stadium parking passes available

Advertiser Staff

Aloha Stadium officials are encouraging people who plan to attend high school graduation ceremonies at the stadium to purchase parking passes in advance.

The parking passes can be bought at the appropriate schools for $2. Not only will people save $3 off the regular parking fee, they also will reduce delays when entering the stadium's parking lot, said Engle Garcia, stadium traffic and parking control supervisor.

Stadium officials also announced safety restrictions for the ceremonies. The following items will not be allowed in the stadium: backpacks, sticks (used to hold up signs), umbrellas, air horns and other noise makers, coolers, fireworks, outside food and beverages, and weapons.

Security guards will allow lei, camcorders, cameras, bags and purses, but all will be subject to inspection.

This year's high school graduation schedule is:

  • Campbell, Friday, 5:30 p.m.
  • Pearl City, Saturday, 5 p.m.
  • Mililani, June 1, 5 p.m.
  • Radford, June 6, 6 p.m.
