Miss Hawai'i USA: New queen, same family

From sister to sister: Outgoing Miss Hawai'i USA Alicia Michioka relinquished her crown to her sister, Justine Michioka, who will reign as Miss Hawai'i USA 2004 and represent the Islands in the Miss USA contest next year.
The new queen is 21 and a student at Hawai'i Pacific University; she also won the bathing suit competition Tuesday night at the Sheraton Waikiki.

Runners-up were, first, Valerie Seagrave, who also won for best gown; second, Monica Ivey, who won the interview award; third, Kanani Oury, Miss Popularity; and fourth, Trisha Barbosa, Miss Photogenic. (This is the pageant that Brook Lee earlier won, moving on to become Miss USA and, eventually, Miss Universe).
The 2003 Miss Hawaii Teen USA winner was also named. Camille Peraro, 17, a Moanalua High School student, now advances to the Miss Teen USA pageant. She also won for best gown. (This is the competition Kelly Hu won, before launching her acting career.)
Runners-up were, first, Karlee Martin, who won the interview and swimsuit competition; second, Kaitlyn Metcalf, Miss Photogenic; third, Rutchelle Melchor; and fourth, Melissa Benz.
