Beach volleyball tourney set

The Employment Specialists Beach Volleyball Shootout will be played starting at 9 a.m. tomorrow at Queen's Surf Beach.

The double-elimination tournament is sponsored by the O'ahu Volleyball Association and AVPNext.

The men's field is expected to include present and former Hawai'i players Kimo Tuyay, Brian Nordberg and Eyal Zimet.

Women's players include Lia Young and Barbara Nyland, Heidi Ilustre and Tanya Fuamatu and former Rainbow Wahine Angelica Ljungquist.

SPEED CLINIC

• Coaches invited: Leeward O'ahu coaches are invited to a free Hawai'i Speed and Quickness Clinic today at Kapolei High.

Starbucks will provide free refreshments for the clinic, which runs from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., and features instruction in plyometrics and agility training.
