Investment pays off for Persis

Hawai'i investment company Persis Investment has profited from the sale of a Mainland technology company, Performant Inc., to a California firm.

Performant was bought by Mercury Interactive Corp. of Sunnyvale, Calif., for $22.5 million. Persis, a Hawai'i-based family company run by chief executive Michael Pfeffer, had invested in Performant through Seattle-based Pinpoint Venture Group. Persis, former owner of The Advertiser, is the majority investor in Pinpoint.
