Cyclist critical in possible hit-and-run

An elderly man was in critical condition after his bicycle was struck by a vehicle near Kapolei High School last night. Authorities said a hit-and-run driver may have been involved.

Emergency Medical Services workers and police were called to the area shortly after 7 p.m.

The man was taken by helicopter to The Queen's Medical Center.

Police continued to investigate late into the evening and little information was available by press time.
