Advertiser Staff

Macy's will officially open its new Prince Kuhio store in Hilo and Ka'ahumanu store on Maui on Saturday. The stores are previous J.C. Penney locations that have undergone renovation.

The Hilo store is in the Prince Kuhio Plaza and will add 62,000 square feet to Macy's existing location in the mall; Macy's new Maui store will cover 86,000 square feet in the Queen Ka'ahumanu Center, adding to the existing center location.

"We are very excited about these new stores, which will essentially double our presence in both malls," said Robert L. Mettler, chairman and CEO of Macy's West, a division of Federated Department Stores Inc.
