"Pieces of April": Katie Holmes plays a troublesome daughter who wants to reconnect with her family by cooking Thanksgiving dinner. Derek Luke is her boyfriend, Oliver Platt is her dad, and Patricia Clarkson is her mom, who is dying of cancer. Opens tomorrow at Varsity Twin. (PG-13)
