Tonight's Must-See
"The Graduate" (1967), Bravo, 6, 8:30 p.m., and "Tootsie" (1982), Turner Classic Movies, 3 p.m. Here's an instant reminder that Dustin Hoffman is a great actor. Bravo has his first starting role, brilliantly directed by Mike Nichols; TCM has a comic masterpiece. Catch one and tape the other. Or catch "Tootsie," and then Bravo's "Graduate" rerun at 8:30 p.m.
Of Note
"Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone" (2001), 3:15 p.m. and "Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets" (2002), 6 p.m., HBO. Here's a chance to catch up on the Potter movie rush. Both are slick movies about the adventures of a boy wizard and his classmates. Next year, the third installment in the Harry Potter universe, "Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban," hits movie theaters.
"102 Dalmatians" (2000), 7 p.m., ABC. After making "101 Dalmatians" twice a cartoon and live-action ABC decided on a sequel. Glenn Close is again Cruella De Vil, the puppy-stealer. Ioan Gruffudd and Gerard Depardieu co-star.
"Las Vegas," 7 p.m., NBC. In this rerun the security people try to figure out why someone would get $50,000 in casino chips but never play the games.
"Hack," 8 p.m., CBS. Jamie's dad is having an affair. Things get worse when the mistress is killed; Mike helps investigate.
"8 SImPLE RULES," 9 p.m., ABC. With "L.A. Dragnet" cancelled earlier this week, ABC re-airs this first new episode of the series since the death of its star John Ritter.
"Law & Order: SPECIAL VICTIMS UNIT" 9 p.m., NBC. A repeat of the fifth-season premiere, with a search underway for an abducted woman about to give birth.
"Saturday Night Live," 10:30 p.m., NBC. Tennis star Andy Roddick hosts with the Dave Matthews Band as the musical guest.
