The event will begin at 5:30 p.m. with seating at 6:30. Tickets are available by calling 395-2314 and cost $100 per person.

Shinseki was the first Hawai'i native to rise to the rank of four-star general.

He served as Army Chief of Staff under presidents Clinton and Bush until his retirement June 3.

Both Shinsekis are graduates of public schools on Kaua'i.

Tomorrow's event is sponsored by 33 veterans', military and civilian organizations, including the Hawai'i Army Museum Society.

The society will unveil an exhibit to honor Gen. Shinseki at its Fort DeRussy museum early next year.
