A forum for Honolulu at Online community Craig's List launched last week is drawing about 30,000 page hits a day, its founder said.
"That's a really strong start," said Craig Newmark, the founder of www.craigslist.com, noting that the Honolulu list, launched Nov. 5, is on track for 800,000 page hits in its first month.
Like lists for 32 cities on the Web site, the Honolulu list contains information on local jobs, housing, items for sale as well as personal ads. Content on the list at honolulu.craigslist.org is driven mainly by users.
San Francisco-based Newmark started Craig's List in 1995 as a way for people in the Bay Area to connect and learn about what was happening in their community.
