Center to mark 5th anniversary

The Hawai'i Convention Center will celebrate its fifth anniversary with an open house tomorrow from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The events include a chant and blessing, dances and singing, appearances by Ronald McDonald and Professor Fun, demonstrations of Hawaiian crafts and screenings of two Edgy Lee films: "Waikiki: In the Wake of Dreams" and "Paniolo: Cowboys of the Far West."

Aloha names new executive

James C. Clarke, formerly senior vice president-chief financial officer for Air Wisconsin Airlines Corp., which is affiliated with United Airlines, has been named senior vice president and chief financial officer for Aloha Airlines Inc. and Aloha Airgroup Inc.

Clarke is a graduate of Stanford University and has a master's degree in business administration from the University of Chicago's Graduate School of Business and a law degree from the Illinois Institute of Technology/Chicago-Kent College of Law. He is a member of the Illinois bar.
