• The possible land-use and legislative repercussions of the recent court ruling to halt construction at the controversial Hokuli'a project will be the focus of a Nov. 25 discussion with the project's attorney, sponsored by The Chamber of Commerce of Hawaii. The discussion will consider how the ruling may affect the validity of past zoning decisions, the permitting process, property rights and land use, and whether it might put the judicial branch in charge of new decisions. • A community outreach effort today by the U.S. Small Business Administration will help link small-business owners in the Pearl City area with financial resources. • The High Technology Development Corp. will host a conference this week to acquaint small businesses with federal financing opportunities. The eighth biennial HAWAII SMALL BUSINESS INNOVATION RESEARCH/Small Business Technology Transfer Research Conference is scheduled 8 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. tomorrow and 8:30 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at Hilton Hawaiian Village. • A free "COMPUTER BOOT CAMP" is offered 3 to 4 p.m. Tuesdays to small-business owners interested in using computer technology to improve and expand business operations and management.
