Police have charged another man in connection with an Oct. 26 fatal shooting in 'Aiea, one of a pair of shooting deaths over a six-day span that police believe are cases of former gang members robbing drug dealers.
Anthony Brown, 22, was charged with one count of first-degree robbery in the Oct. 26 killing of 49-year-old Greg Morishima. Brown was identified via a photographic lineup and arrested. His bail was set at $100,000.
Morishima was gunned down in the garage of a friend's Pamoho Place home by three masked gunmen. The house had been raided on several occasions when police suspected drug dealing.
Two men have been charged with second-degree murder in the Morishima case, Micah Kanahele, 22, and Rosalino Ramos, 22.
In addition, Jason Rumbawa, 23, was arrested on suspicion of second-degree murder, first-degree robbery, and weapons offenses in the Morishima case.
Kanahele is also charged with murder in the Nov. 1 fatal shooting of 26-year-old Guylan Nuuhiwa.
Police say Nuuhiwa was shot in the parking lot of the 24-hour Longs Drugs in Pearl City after he refused to lower the price of a quarter-pound of marijuana from $1,600 to $1,480.
On Friday Judge Leslie Hayashi ordered Waipahu resident Kanahele to stand trial on multiple charges including second-degree murder, attempted murder, robbery, drug and firearm offenses in the Nuuhiwa killing.
Ramos and Kevin Harris, 26, will also stand trial in the Nuuhiwa case. They are charged with robbery.
Police have said and court documents have confirmed that Kanahele and Ramos were once members of a local gang.
