Makeup artist sets up shop here

Makeup artist Liz Dahl can do day, evening or theatrical looks, or more specialized tasks: She once helped a client cover a facial tattoo for a job interview. Deborah Booker • The Honolulu Advertiser

Dahl has set up shop so she can bring her expertise to the public. She occupies a slice of the hip, haute hair salon CHOP in Restaurant Row. It's a natural, Dahl said, because she and the owners of CHOP have worked together on the French Festival and other projects.

Dahl has chosen a makeup line from Sweden previously unavailable in the Islands. She used the products during "Baywatch Hawaii" and found they had great staying power, even in water.

FACE Stockholm colors are highly pigmented and come in a wide range of finishes, from mattes to shimmers. "All the variations allow me to play. It's just too much fun," Dahl said. For appointments, call 538-1313 or 864-2191.
