"Ed," 7 p.m., NBC. With Thanksgiving eight days away, shows are using the holiday for fresh family confrontations. Here are several of them. Ed finally has Carol back in town. He uses the time to create a blend of romantic memories. Mike has bigger problems. His mom (Blair Brown) and domineering dad (Burt Reynolds) are back.

"My Wife and Kids," 7 p.m., ABC. With Claire's parents away, her boyfriend feels it's party time.
"JFK: Assassination: Investigation Reopened," 7, 11 p.m., Court TV. Three days before the 40th anniversary of John F. Kennedy's assassination, this special re-examines the evidence.
"A Minute with Stan Hooper," 7:30 p.m., Fox. Stan (Norm Macdonald) confronts the town's odd justice system.
"The O.C.," 8 p.m., Fox. Ryan's older, bad brother got him into car theft. Now Ryan and Marissa visit him in prison, where she learns about Ryan's old life.
"The West Wing," 8 p.m., NBC. A budget stalemate leaves the government in limbo. Despite declining approval ratings, the president prepares for a confrontation.
"Victoria's Secret fashion show," 9 p.m., CBS. Tyra Banks, Heidi Klum, Gisele Bundchen, etc. walk around in lingerie; also, there's music by Sting and Mary J. Blige.
