Victor Olson, 78, owned realty firm

Advertiser Staff

Victor D. Olson, owner of Vic Olson Realty Investments in Honolulu, died Oct. 30 in the Arizona State Veterans Home. He was 78.

Victor Olson moved to Hawai'i after World War II.
Olson was born Nov. 1, 1924, in Des Moines, Iowa. He attended the Citadel Military College in Charleston, S.C., and was a Navy pilot in Word War II.

After the war, Olson moved to Hawai'i and was named vice president-principal broker of C. Brewer's Hawaiiana Realty and Management. He later was made vice president-principal broker of Brewer Realty Co., which handled Brewer's Big Island sales.

Olson formed his own commercial real estate brokerage company in 1977. After retiring, he moved to Phoenix eight years ago. Olson is survived by his son, Greg; daughter, Debbie; and brother, Dave.

No local services are planned, but his family asks friends and associates to "hoist a fine glass of chardonnay in his honor during the holidays."
