By Wayne Harada
Advertiser Entertainment Writer

Bethany Hamilton, the 13-year-old surfer who lost her left arm to a shark off Kaua'i, will be all over television today.

Waimea Falls benefit planned

• What: Fund-raiser in support of Bethany Hamilton

• When: 7 p.m. to midnight Saturday, Nov. 29

• Where: Waimea Falls Park

• Tickets: Available at Surf and Sea, Kammies Market and Backpackers: $8 in advance, $10 at the door.

Besides an "Inside Edition" appearance at 10:30 p.m. today on KHON-2, Bethany will be seen on two ABC-TV shows airing today on KITV-4: on "Good Morning America" this morning between 7 and 9 a.m., and on "20/20" from 9 to 10 p.m.

While her dad, Tom Hamilton, was interviewed earlier on NBC-TV's "Today" show, Bethany's interviews with ABC are the only network coverage on the attack.

Rip Curl and the Hawaii North Shore Lifeguard Association have announced another joint fund-raiser for Bethany on Nov. 29 at Waimea Falls park. The event is expected to draw widespread interest in the surf community during the concurrent Vans Triple Crown of Surfing.

The benefit will include live music, videos, a Rip Curl fashion show and silent auction, which has attracted industry support from both Hawai'i and the Mainland. World-renowned photographers Larry "Flame" Moore and Art Brewer have donated framed images from their personal collections, while Sean Davey and Jim Russi also have donated several photographs.

Surfer magazine will auction off a Los Angeles Lakers VIP package of 12 tickets to the Jan. 17 game at the Staples Center that includes VIP parking for two and VIP hospitality, food and drinks for 12 in the Skybox. Signed surfboards from many of the world's top 45 surfers also will be auctioned.
