Weekly Thoughts

There comes a time in everyone's life when a loved friend or relative passes away. We miss that person. And the thought that nothing in heaven or earth can bring that person back burdens us with grief and hopelessness. But when we think that we have no "lease" on their personality ... no right to keep them for our sakes ... the thought begins to creep into our heart that we ought to be glad for the time we had with them. Instead of grief, there should be gratitude.

Thoughts by the late Rev. Paul Osumi are selected weekly by his family.
