Key House votes
1. Energy bill
The House passed Tuesday, 246-180, a bill that would overhaul national energy policy by promoting conservation, research and development. A "yea" vote was to pass the bill.

2. Energy, Army Corps budget
The House passed Tuesday, 387-36, a $27.3 billion bill to fund the Energy Department and the Army Corps of Engineers for fiscal 2004. A "yea" vote was to pass the bill.

3. CIA budget
The House on Thursday passed, 264-163, a bill to authorize a budget for the Central Intelligence Agency and expand the FBI's power to demand financial records from businesses. A "yea" vote was to pass the bill.

4. Flood insurance
The House on Thursday passed, 352-67, a bill Thursday that would reduce the number of repeat claims filed under the nation's flood insurance program. A "yea" vote was to pass the bill.

5. Healthy forests
The House voted 286-140 Friday to limit environmental reviews of forest thinning projects in hopes of speeding up the projects and reducing the threat of wildfires, especially near communities. A "yea" vote was to limit the reviews.

1. Energy policy
The Senate on Friday failed, 57-40, to end debate on a bill that would overhaul national energy policy by promoting conservation, research and development. Sixty votes were need. A "yea" vote was to shut off debate.
