Transportation is not provided.

Bring a lunch and water on all hikes. Wear sturdy shoes and clothing.

For information, call 674-1459, 377-5442 or 596-4864 or visit: http://geocities.com/htmclub.

The upcoming events:

• Dec. 6, 8 a.m., Ka'ena Point;4 miles, novice. Grab your sunglasses, sunscreen and hat for this sunny shoreline hike. Bring plenty of water, your camera and bathing suit as the tidal pools at O'ahu's most western point are very inviting. Coordinator Phil Booth, 488-1161.

• Dec. 7, 8 a.m., Manana Ditch; 8 miles, intermediate. The many ups and downs always come as a surprise and quickly reduce your energy level to zero. Midway through the loop, you'll find a second wind and emerge triumphant from the Pacific palisade. Coordinator Steve Brown, 247-8845.

• Dec. 14, 8 a.m., Pu'u Heleakala, 6 miles, advanced. Great views, but bring at least three quarts of water. The trail is hot and there's no shade. Coordinator Steve Poor, 638-8387.

• Dec. 28, 8 a.m., Lanipo; 7 miles, intermediate. This arduous but rewarding route is a favorite of O'ahu hikers. Coordinator Thea Ferentinos, 375-0384.
