GONZALO VIRGO BELENO, 84, of Wahiawa, died Nov. 6, 2003. Born in Pidigan, Abra, Philippines. A barber retired from the Navy Exchange Barber Shop at Barbers Point. HERBERT W.O. "HERBIE" "CHUNGIE" CHUNG SR., 73, of Hawaiian Shores, died Nov. 17, 2003. Former professional motorbike racer and motorcycle mechanic retired from Schubert Cyclery and Montgomery Motors. A World War II veteran who served in the 442nd Regimental Combat Team, 100th Infantry Battalion and member of Kamuela Hongwanji Mission. Survived by wife, Fujiko; sons, Daniel, Robin, Kim and Matt; daughter, Gail; brothers, Goroku, Hajime and Matsuji; sisters, Mitsue Fowler and Satsue Hamada; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren. BARBARA STUYVERS BATE OPPERMAN, 76, of Ballard, Wash., died Oct. 18, 2003. Born in Florida. She grew up in Hawai'i, boarded at St. Andrews Priory and graduated from Roosevelt High School.
