ROBERT LAMARCHINA, who led the Honolulu Symphony as conductor from 1967 to 1978, died Tuesday in his sleep in Honolulu. He was 75. He had suffered from congestive heart failure. See story.

Hawai'i-born BERT NAKANO, who led a campaign to win reparations for Japanese Americans forced into internment camps during World War II, has died. He was 75. See story.
