The U.S. Air Force has selected Napa, Calif.-based Actus Lend Lease LLC to renovate, replace and manage 1,356 housing units at Hickam Air Force Base on O'ahu.

The contract, with an estimated development cost of $300 million, is the second for Actus, which in August was selected by the Army to upgrade and maintain 7,700 homes on O'ahu.

Construction on the Air Force project is expected to start in April and be completed by February 2009. Revenues paid to Actus by the military to rent the improved homes is estimated at $1.1 billion over the contract’s 50-year term.
