Catch of the day

Advertiser Staff

Nasario Quemado Jr., left, and Gary Largo took 3› hours, used two lines and still nearly lost a 1,200-pound Pacific Blue marlin the duo caught on their boat, the "Que-Largo." The fish was too large to be put in the boat, so it had to be towed into Wai'anae Harbor. Before the duo could tow the marlin into port, the lines got tangled in the boat's prop, threatening to cut loose their prize catch. Largo jumped into the water to free up the line.
