Water situation still not back to normal

Wait a minute!

School's back in session, fall is upon us, winter lies ahead and the usual summer concern about water use is behind us. Right?

Wrong.

Yes, the seasons may be turning, but O'ahu still has water concerns that should be top of the mind for every consumer. The Board of Water Supply reports that consumption is inching up again after a fairly good summer of voluntary conservation.

And, the good news is that overall daily use is still more than 8 million gallons less than the same period a year ago. So people are listening.

But until water levels return to normal, conservation and limited use remain the order of the day.
