Bicyclist killed in Waimanalo accident

A 14-year-old boy who was riding a bicycle was struck by a vehicle and killed today on Kalaniana'ole Highway at Mo'ole Street in Waimanalo.

The boy was taken to The Queen's Medical Center, where he died. The accident occurred at about 8:30 a.m.

The fatality is O'ahu's third in three days and the 61st traffic death of the year. There were 48 traffic deaths at this time last year.

An 83-year-old Kaimuki man and 30-year-old Navy man were killed in weekend accidents.
