Paul Clur was arrested and charged Friday by personnel from the Hawai'i Internet Crimes Against Children unit, a joint task force headed by the state attorney general’s office.

Kristen Izumi-Nitao, a prosecutor assigned to the unit, said that Clur is free on $50,000 bail and will be arraigned Wednesday at District Court.

Doris Ching, UH-Manoa’s vice president for student affairs, said Katie Barry of Maui Community College has been named interim chair of the UH student caucus.

The caucus is made up of student representatives of 10 campuses in the University of Hawai'i system to identify issues.

The caucus is not a governing body but most of its members are involved in student government.

Clur represented the graduate student organization on the caucus, said Ching.
