Missing woman sought at bay

Firefighters were assisting police today in a search at Yokohama Bay for a 50-year-old woman who has been missing since Oct. 2.

Hoae Foster's silver Dodge car was found parked at Yokohama Beach Park Monday. Officer Phil Camero of the Honolulu Police Department's missing persons detail said Foster was emotionally distraught when last seen at her Waipi'o home six days ago.

Foster is 5 feet 2, and weighs 105 pounds.

Bank robbed in Mapunapuna

Bank of Hawaii's Mapunapuna branch was robbed of an undisclosed amount of cash yesterday by a man who passed a note to a teller. The robbery was reported at 3:30 p.m. The robber ran away.

Yesterday's was the 29th bank robbery of the year on O'ahu and the second in the last five days.


Stable fire said to be deliberate

A fire at a Pearl City Uplands stable yesterday that caused an estimated $8,000 damage to the structure and $2,000 to its contents was deliberately set, according to police and fire investigators.

No animals were injured in the 2:33 a.m. fire at 96-1100 Waihona St., HFD spokesman Capt. Kenison Tejada said.


Homeless man found stabbed

A 37-year-old homeless man was found with a stab wound yesterday morning in Wahiawa. The man was taken by helicopter to The Queen's Medical Center, where he is listed in critical condition.

Police said the man has been sleeping in the area of 929 Center Street in Wahiawa for several months. A custodian found him injured at 7:30 a.m. yesterday.

Police have been unable to question the man about the incident.
