Missing woman sought at bay

Firefighters were assisting police yesterday in a search at Yokohama Bay for a 50-year-old woman who has been missing since Oct. 2.

Hoae Foster's silver Dodge was found parked at Yokohama Beach Park Monday. Officer Phil Camero of the Honolulu Police Department's missing persons detail said Foster was distraught when last seen at her Waipi'o home a week ago. Foster is 5 feet 2, and weighs 105 pounds. Bank robbed in Mapunapuna

Bank of Hawaii's Mapunapuna branch was robbed of an undisclosed amount of cash Tuesday by a man who passed a note to a teller.

The robbery was reported at 3:30 p.m. The suspect fled on foot. It was the 29th bank robbery of the year on O'ahu.


Fire at stable was arson, officials say

A fire at a Pearl City Uplands stable Tuesday that caused an estimated $8,000 damage to the structure and $2,000 to its contents was deliberately set, police and fire investigators said. No animals were injured in the fire.
