The University of Hawai'i identified two donors who have contributed to football coach June Jones' $800,016 contract, but has refused to disclose the rest.
Carolyn Tanaka, a UH associate vice president, said the First Hawaiian Foundation and the Na Koa Football Club, "have no objection to being identified."
She said eight others a mix of individuals and groups "wish to remain anonymous" and the UH Foundation, "is obligated to honor their confidentiality."
Beverly Keever, a UH professor, and some news organizations, including The Honolulu Advertiser, have requested full disclosure of donors based upon the state's open records law.
According to documents furnished by UH, the First Hawaiian Foundation, an arm of First Hawaiian Bank, and Na Koa, UH's football booster club, have each pledged $125,000 over five years.
