Kai sets UH career goals record in 1-0 road victory

University of Hawai'i forward Natasha Kai has made a mark in the Rainbows' career records category, and she's only a sophomore.

Kai scored unassisted at 86:49 to lift Hawai'i over Boise State, 1-0, yesterday at Boise, Idaho.
Natasha Kai is the reigning Western Athletic Conference Player of the Year.
Kai, a Kahuku High School graduate, has 37 career goals, which surpasses senior teammate Arlene Devitt's total.
Kai, the reigning Western Athletic Conference Player of the Year, has played in 37 career matches.
Kai also broke her own record set last season by scoring in her fifth consecutive match.
Kai set the school's single-season record for goals with 21 after scoring four times Friday in a 4-0 win over Nevada.
The Rainbows won their third consecutive match and are 10-4-1 overall and 5-1 in the WAC. Boise State dropped to 5-9-1 and 1-2.
UH junior midfielder Joelle Sugai sent a cross from the left flank into a crowded box yesterday and Kai was able to score from 5 yards out for her fifth game-winning goal of the season.
The Rainbows are 6-1-1 on the road this season and will conclude their current trip with a non-conference match against Idaho State today in Pocatello, Idaho.
Hawai'i's next home matches will be Friday against Fresno State and Sunday against San Jose State. They will be the Rainbows' final regular-season conference matches of the year.
