Advertiser Staff and News Services

Delta Air Lines yesterday announced discounted "Aloha Hawaii" fares for travel by Dec. 15 that were immediately matched by Hawai'i's two largest airlines.

The discounted fares include $407 round-trip tickets from Honolulu to San Francisco or Honolulu to Los Angeles. A round-trip Los Angeles-Maui flight costs $427; Honolulu to Seattle runs $398. Tickets must be purchased by Oct. 29.

"Aloha is matching the sale fares through all of our routes between the Mainland and Honolulu and Maui," said Stu Glauberman, Aloha Airlines spokesman.

Hawaiian Airlines had offered similar fares effective Nov. 27, spokesman Keoni Wagner said. Starting Monday, Wagner said, "We will be bringing those fares forward to remain competitive."
