SURFING

• Wooden series postponed: The Old Hawai'i Wooden Surfboard Series scheduled to start this weekend has been postponed until Dec. 12 to 14 at Waikiki Beach.

The unique series will require surfers to compete on surfboards carved out of Hawaiian trees.

The first event in the series was moved to December because the wood boards are still being carved. Other events are scheduled to take place at Lahaina in January, and then at Keauhou Bay in February.

For information on the series, visit www.hlfhawaii.com.

RODEO

Women to compete: The Hawai'i Women's Rodeo Association's All Girls Rodeo will be held tomorrow, starting at 8:30 a.m. at Barbers Point Riding Stables.

The event will include barrel racing, pole bending, goat tying, steer undecorating, roping events, dally team, breakaway and wahine calf mugging.

Admission is $3. For more information, call Lu Faborito at 384-4832 or 696-5762.
