SUSAN KODANI, former president and executive director of the Japanese Cultural Center, and MICHAEL PILI PANG, noted kumu hula, are among new staff members of St. Andrew's Priory School for Girls.

Pang, a student of hula master Ma'iki Aiu Lake, is founder of Halau Hula Ka No'eau, which in 1999 was the first Hawaiian dance company to receive a National Endowment for the Arts grant for dance. He has performed at colleges and universities nationwide. The dance and chant instructor brings his experience to the school founded by Hawai'i's Queen Emma Kaleleonalani and Mother Sellon of the Anglican Church as an Episcopal school for girls. Kodani, an 18-year veteran of nonprofit organizations, has been hired by the school as director of institutional advancement. She will be responsible for development and alumnae relations. Kodani is also former senior vice president of community relations for Bishop Museum, and project director at the Denver Museum of Natural History.

• Honolulu Board of Realtors, one of the largest of 1,500 boards of Realtors nationally — and the largest trade organization on O'ahu — has announced its volunteer board of directors officers for 2003-2004. MARY BEGIER of Mary Begier Realty, who was named the Hawai'i Association of Realtors 2001 Realtor of the Year, is president of the 4,000-member real-estate professional organization. Other officers include the president-elect, JUDITH E. KALBRENER of RE/MAX Honolulu; secretary, ALLISON A. LUM of Plum Associates; and immediate past president, ANNE I.W. KEAMO of Properties Unlimited Inc.

RON WATANABE, veteran local hotel broker and hospitality industry consultant, has joined the real-estate management and commercial brokerage firm of Chaney Brooks & Co. Inc. as vice president. Watanabe is former managing director for the hotel brokerage firm Insignia ESG/Hotel Partners, where he specialized in hotel, resort and golf course asset investment sales.

CELINA UEHARA, who was administrative assistant for O'ahu with Atlantis Adventures, has been promoted to manager for the company's marketing department, agency service center. In her new position she will oversee reservations, including customer relations, ticketing and special requests. She had previously worked for the company from 1993 to 1997. Atlantis Adventures is the owner of Atlantis Submarines and provides sales and marketing services for Sea Life Park.

• Travel marketing and sales executive GORDON P. LOCKE has been named senior vice president for marketing and sales at Hawaiian Airlines. His oversight will include product development, flight scheduling, pricing, reservations, advertising and partnerships. Locke was vice president of marketing and enterprise development at the global travel company Rosenbluth International, and has held management and executive positions with technology, travel marketing and hotel entities such as Ritz-Carlton and the U.S. Office of the Comptroller of the Currency.

SHAUN SALVADOR, a veteran of property management and accounting, has been named assistant manager at the 1,600-unit Salt Lake Self Storage. He was previously assigned to the accounting department of the facility's parent company, MW Group.
