Tonight's Must-See

"Sleeping Beauty" (1959), 7 p.m., ABC. This fairy-tale classic includes music adapted from Tchaikovsky, three good fairies and an evil witch. It's even an action adventure when the prince battles the evil Maleficent. This is ambitious animation, the kind that parents can enjoy with their kids.

"Cambridge Spies" debut, 4 and 8 p.m., BBC America. Back in 1934, four young men met at Cambridge University. Kim Philby, Guy Burgess, Anthony Blunt and Donald Maclean were bright and idealistic; they began doing undercover work for the Soviets. That began at a time when Hitler was the enemy and the Soviets were potential allies. It ended during the Cold War with the men being condemned as traitors. This fascinating story is told over five episodes, written and acted brilliantly. Particularly good are Tom Hollander as the quaking Burgess and Toby Stephens as the remarkably efficient Philby.

Of Note

Baseball, 1:30 p.m., Fox. Game 6 of the World Series returns to the Bronx, with the New York Yankees facing elimination by the Florida Marlins, who lead the series 3-2.

"Good Will Hunting" (1997), 5 p.m., Bravo. Matt Damon and Ben Affleck wrote a terrific Oscar-winning script. Damon stars as an angry, blue-collar math genius.

"Whoopi," 7 and 7:30 p.m., NBC. In the first rerun, Mavis (Whoopi Goldberg) goes to court after getting a ticket for smoking in her hotel. In the second, she heads to the emergency room after being bitten by Rita's pet ferret.

"Law & Order: Criminal Intent," 8 p.m., NBC. A rerun looks at the murder of a social worker who worked with a child genius.

"Hack," 8 p.m., CBS. Mike rescues a woman from rapists, then inadvertently nudges her toward revenge.

"The District," 9 p.m., CBS. Mannion deals with assaults from a community vigilante group.
