REGINALD MINORU HANABUSA, 74, of Palo Alto, Calif., died Sept. 19, 2003. Born in Wai'anae. Retired as a civil engineer for Caltrans in California. ROSE "LOKE" JESTS, 100, of Wai'anae, died Oct. 20, 2003. Born in Honolulu. Retired at Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard as a civil service employee; also a former Libby pineapple cannery and Magoon Laundry employee. Survived by wife, Patricia "Patty"; daughter, Josephine Ngata; sons, Samuel Jr. and Hawaii Namauu; sisters, Daisy Nakamoto and Maureen "Pualani" Louis; brothers, Rodney Kaukini and Herbert Kealoha; six grandchildren; a great-granddaughter.
