Try looking natural

Advertiser Staff and News Services

In response to a growing demand for natural products — those without artificial coloring, synthetic fragrance or other man-made chemicals, or those from companies with environmentally conscious and "cruelty-free" policies — an online drugstore has just introduced a special section called Natural Store.

Go to www.drugstore.com and click on Natural Store in the upper right part to find Burt's Bees, Kiss My Face, Australian Organics, Nature Boy & Girl, New Chapter vitamins and other alternative beauty products.

A new 'Day in the Life'

Rick Smolan and David Elliot Cohen, the creative team behind the best-selling coffee-table book "A Day in the Life of America," have rejoined forces for another book, "America 24/7," out this week from DK Publishing.

Digital photographers fanned out across the United States to produce the panoramic, colorful book . Three Hawai'i photographers are among the 25,000 shooters (including 1,000 pros): Jeff Widener of The Advertiser, George F. Lee of the Honolulu Star-Bulletin, and independent photographer/filmmaker Sergio Goes. Find out more online at www.america24-7.com.
